Dad, do you know how important you are to your children? Study after study reveals that when children grow up in fatherless families they are at risk for many serious consequences, including drug use, poor performance in school and even criminal activity. If you really want to learn to “be there” for your children both physically and emotionally, contact ALIVE Jones County Families First Resource Center about a Fatherhood workshop. Using Ken Canfield’s “The Seven Secrets of Effective Fathers”, workshop participants will be empowered to be involved and effective fathers.
